WIDEBAND ULTRAVIOLET BRIGHTNESS MEASUREMENTS OF THE PLANET URANUS
Abstract
This abstract summarizes 62 U filter measurements made of Uranus between November 2014 and October 2017. An SSP5 photometer along with a filter transformed to the Johnson U system were used in making all measurements. The conclusions of this work are: 1) the normalized magnitude of Uranus is -6.30 with an uncertainty of 0.02 magnitudes, and 2) the solar phase angle and the sub-Earth latitude value did not affect the normalized value of Uranus.
