A SURVEY OF ULTRAVIOLET SPECTRA FOR UFO SIGNATURES**
Abstract
Using objects with known ultra-fast outflow troughs detected in the X-ray, we search archival data of the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer. We find 6 AGN with redshifts less than z=0.1, where the OVI doublet is detectable. Of these objects, all 6 have low velocity absorption. However, we find that none of the 6 objects exhibit troughs that correspond to the known UFO velocities. This could be due to the high ionization state associated with X-ray absorbers.
