A THREE BLADE WIND TURBINE WITH OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE
Abstract
Wind energy is a very useful alternative renewable energy source to reduce the dependance on the fossil fuels. Hence, it is important to study and design wind turbines with higher efficiencies. A three blade wind turbine with optimal performance has been designed using the Monte Carlo simulation technique. The power coefficient, chord, and angle of relative wind were studied relative to the position along the blade. This research details the preliminary findings of blade parameters for an optimized three-blade horizontal-axis wind turbine.
