Preparation, thermal properties, self-assembly and gelation studies of acridine linked cholesteryl carbamate
Abstract
Acridine linked Cholesteryl carbamate has been prepared by the reaction of 9-aminoacridine with cholesteryl chloroformate. Varied weight percents (5 and 10 wt %) of acridine based cholesteryl carbamate has been shown to gelate DMSO. Correlations between self-assembly and gelation properties of acridine based cholesteryl carbamate in various liquids and differential scanning calorimetric studies of the synthesized carbamate derivatives will be presented.
