ASSESSMENT OF INJECTION POINT STRATEGIES FOR ENHANCED PIPELINE MIXING VIA CFD**
Abstract
Chemical mixing is a critical process in water and wastewater treatment systems. This study evaluates mixing performance in a pipeline by analyzing different chemical injection locations. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was used to assess mixing behavior at multiple injection points within the pipe network. Identifying effective injection locations supports strategic design decisions that enhance mixing efficiency and reduce operational costs. This work demonstrates the value of CFD in developing optimized injection and mixing strategies that improve overall pipeline performance and provide useful insights for water and wastewater system designers.
