DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF HAIRPIN STRUCTURE BASED MICROSTRIP FILTER FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION**
Abstract
We present a microstrip based hairpin filter design which is suitable for the 4G and 5G wireless communications. The filter circuit has been analyzed for its transmission coefficient, return loss and current density distribution. Transmission coefficient of the scattering matrix element S21 from our experimental design closely match the simulated values of S21 over a wide range of frequencies. This low-cost and compact design is ideal for mobile and other wireless networks.
